Child Care Connections maintains an extensive lending library of educational materials and toys to assist child care providers in providing rich “learning through play” experiences for the children in their care. Totes include a wide variety of multi-sensory play materials that build early learning skills across domains. Materials include high quality wooden puzzles, puppets, manipulatives, books, CDs, musical instruments, push toys and more. Most totes are based on a theme and many include activity suggestions. There is also a large selection of Literacy backpacks that contain a selection of books and materials to extend and support learning.We also provide gross motor equipment and larger items for dramatic play.

In addition to the materials for children, Child Care Connections maintains a large resource library with curriculum guides, activity resource books, and training DVDs. 

There is no cost to utilize the lending/resource library and it is open to all licensed child care providers in our 10 county region.

Locations:

The main Lending and Resource Library is located in Traverse City at the Child Care Connections office at 720 S. Elmwood, Suite 4.

There is also a Lending Library in Boyne City at the Char-Em ISD.

Providers in the Wexford-Missaukee area and in Manistee County may arrange for delivery of materials by contacting our office at 231-941-7767.

Hours:

The Traverse City Lending/Resource Library is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00pm.

Contact our Boyne City office at 231-582-8070 to arrange for pick up in Boyne City.
