I’m a Child Care Provider » Food Program

Child Care Connections is a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)funded by the US Department of Agriculture.  This program provides cash reimbursements for food costs and nutrition information to child care providers who serve healthy foods to the children in their care.   We are proud to offer this program to hundreds of child care providers in northwest lower Michigan.

Wondering why you should join?

We help you by providing you with:

  • A manual full of information that will help you plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
  •  A Calendar Keeper to help you track attendance, payments, and expenses.
  • An Organizer Box complete with hanging files, recipes, forms, postage paid envelopes and more, to help you submit your monthly menus efficiently.
  • We work with you to insure that you receive the maximum reimbursement available.
  • Nutrition education materials suggestions to assist them in planning and preparing meals and snacks.  Monitoring by our staff helps assure quality food service for children.
  • You receive a one hour credit toward licensing training requirements for each year you participate in our food program.

 We’re Local

We’re the only food program sponsor that’s locally based in northwest lower Michigan.  That means that you can work with a team of Field Consultants and office staff who live in and know your community.

 

We Offer Incentives

Completing monthly claims takes time.  With every error free claim you submit, we  provide a Perfect Menu certificate redeemable for a variety of gifts.
